Shimmies & turns are two fundamental moves in belly dancing. Once you have an understanding of the basics, this class will provide you with a strong foundation from which to build more complex moves upon. You will learn two variations of shimmies: the shoulder-shimmy and the shimmy-layered hip circle, two turns, the cut-turn, and the sa’idid turn’, finishing with a challenging tremor figure-eight. These moves will strengthen your core and build your sense of rhythm and coordination. The final choreographed sequence will leave you feeling revitalized and in touch with your inner dancer.
